Sanibel Island Wood Chart

Size: 31" wide by 25" high

Locale: West of Ft. Myers, Florida

Sanibel is a barrier island -- a collection of sand on the leeward (downwind) side of Pine Island, which is made of more solid coral rock. It's known for its bounty of seashells which is a result of the island's location and its east-west orientation. It sits on a large plateau that extends west into the Gulf of Mexico for several miles, creating a shelf for the shells to collect on and eventually wash onto the shore.

Construction: This piece comes ready to hang, pre-framed in a custom, solid-wood frame. Its rich contours are carefully crafted from laser-cut layers of Baltic birch, which are hand colored and glued together with the intent that each becomes a prized conversational piece and treasured heirloom.

 Designed in the United States

Points of Interest: Captiva Island, Tarpon Bay, Sanibel Bayou, San Carlos Bay, Pine Island Sound, and more!
